Granada is a space that feels warm, intentional and inviting — and that's probably because the coffee shop is tucked away inside of a home in the historic Angelino Heights neighborhood. This unconventional space blurs the line between public and private, offering guests an intimate and unique cafe experience.
The concept was brought to life by Sydney Wayser and John Isaac Watters, two Los Angeles–based multi-disciplinary creatives whose curiosities and interventions span music, architecture, art, film, furniture design, and hospitality. Through their collaborative practice, they explore the intersection of domestic space, community gathering, and creative production.
In January 2026, they opened their home as GRANADA Echo Park, inviting the Los Angeles public into their personal space. The "in home" cafe became a new kind of third space and daily ritual for the neighborhood where anyone can come and be together over aromatic brews and artisanal pastries. The menu features a carefully curated selection of coffee and tea, alongside delicious bites perfect for a morning treat or a midday pick-me-up. GRANADA offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to meet with friends or simply enjoy a quiet moment.
Since opening, GRANADA has experienced an outpouring of love from the community and significant media attention, marking a truly successful first chapter for this distinctive neighborhood destination.
