Basics to give rhythm to your everyday life
HIBI, meaning "day to day" in Japanese, is designed to be timeless basics for the everyday table.
HIBI Soar and Ray feature graphical lines in indigo color and crisp white porcelain. "Soar" is characterized by curving, dynamic lines, and "Ray" is composed of straight, minimal lines. The designs help to showcase food and bring a fresh atmosphere to the table. Thin and seemingly delicate, the pieces are durable and suitable for casual use.
HIBI chopsticks are carefully finished by hand by craftsmen. Moderate thickness makes it easy to hold, and the tip is thin and easy to pick. The top is cut to accent the design. There are two sizes, 235mm for adults and 180mm, which is easy for small children to use. With a beeswax finish that has undergone repeated polishing, it has a moist texture and a natural expression of the wood grain that harmonizes with tables and tableware.
The slightly narrowing base of the tumbler naturally fits your fingers and is comfortable to grip. High quality clear glass exudes clarity, while smoky colored variations evoke tranquility. They can be stacked for compact storage.
Made of highly transparent glass, HIBI bowls beautifully enhance the dishes. Available in two sizes, they make a great addition to the table.
In partnership with KINTO’s product development team, Japanese product designer Shin Azumi worked on the design of HIBI. He shared with us his inspiration and ideas behind the design of HIBI glassware.
